CLUB HISTORY

Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club was founded 1994 and is a private venue, built by the vision of the late President, HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and run today under the patronage of his son H.H Sheikh Falah Bin zayed Al Nahyan as the only Royal polo facility in the UAE.

Set in 300 hectares of lush grassland, Ghantoot Horse Racing & Polo Club boasts world-class polo and equestrian facilities, showcasing eight polo fields, stables for over 300 top-class polo ponies and a 2,000-seater grandstand equipped with a VIP entrance, media facilities and business centre.

The Clubs colonial style Clubhouse includes dining facilities with outstanding views of the polo field as well as an opulent swimming pool and fully equipped gymnasium. The exclusivity of the Club, it’s location – ideally set between Abu Dhabi & Dubai and it’s accessibility just seconds from Sheikh Zayed & Sheikh Maktoum Highway – provides an unparalleled hospitality venue for entertaining clients, friends and family.

Over the years the Club has played host to the Royal Family, visiting Kings and famous personalities. The club, known as one of the most prestigious and exclusive polo clubs in the region hosting multiple equestrian events such as polo, horse racing, showjumping, dressage, etc… and is the only Polo Club in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
